Girls of Summer

Hairstyles help create a stylish and attractive look, a look every woman needs in order to feel feminine. Hair is like another accesory, it can complete an outfit, or completely ruin it. And as we follow most of fashion trends for clothes, it's also good to follow hair trends too, because for summer, hair is the perfect way to complement an outfit. Find out the latest hairstyle trends right off the runway. Here are the 2010 spring runway hairstyles trends!

THE SIDE BRAID:
If leather was one of the biggest trends in fashion for spring, the side braid is the hottest hair style for spring. From the girlie milkmaid braids to the fairy-tale and at the same time Boho-style side-braids as well as fish plaits all contribute to the authenticity and atmosphere of the fashion shows. Choose from the multitude patterns and sport a different braid style for various events.

THE BOW
One thing's for sure this spring, the 80's are back. Marc Jacobs was inspired by this look for his "younger" collection. “It’s very inspired by Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan,” says Guido, Redken’s creative consultant, who crafted the coif for the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2010 show. “The hairstyle is meant to look a little ‘bad girl.’ We’ve got these lovely bows that Marc made so I kept the texture rough to offset those.”

MESSY KNOT
Updo hair styles are blooming when it comes of the latest fashion collections. Indeed the messy knot runway hair styles spring/summer 2010 bring a more relaxed and revolutionary perspective in hair styling.
The Spring/Summer 2010 Fendi collection lined up a chic parade of messy knots. From the simple and tousled bun to the more prominent twists with alluring strands served as the best accessory for the exquisite outfit ideas. Meanwhile Lanvin adopted a more architectural and sculpted approach.
If you want to keep it more "down to earth", then Kenzo has a solution. An easy yet messy knot was shown on the spring 2010 collection.

GO GLAM!
Vintage styles have had powerful influences over this year's fashion trends as well as hairstyles. The name vintage is usually associated with glamor and femininity and for this spring summer season, femininity and style have been the most powerful characteristics.
Loose hairstyles have always been considered to be very attractive, especially if the hair is styled properly in order to enhance the facial features. Loose curls or waves contribute to a very sexy yet innocent and sophisticated look.

Versace

RUMPLED HAIR
Without a doubt this is my favourite look, barely-there waves make the perfect boho-chic look. You don't need a professional stylist on hand to copy this hair. In fact, you don't even need a hairbrush. Simply work volumizer through damp strands and toss your hair around with your fingers while blasting it with a blow dryer, which amps up the body. Then, once the hair is dry, wrap inch-wide sections around a large barrel curling iron and immediately after unraveling each one, rake your fingers through the hair to relax it into a slight bend. Voilà, bombshell hair.

Balmain

Chloé

GO STRAIGHT
One thing's for sure, you can never go wrong with straight hair. Designers seem to love this look, which will never go out of style. "We wanted the hair to be very 60s," said Garren, hairstylist at Anna Sui, "A take off on the old Mademoiselle cover girls - blunt but polished." Garren did different styles on each mode depending on their hair cut and texture. But for all he blew out the hair with extra volume and then smoothed on a shine serum to leave strands silky and polished.

Burberry Prorsum

Michael Kors

Tommy Hilfiger

BANGS
Another hot look this summer are bangs. Celebrities love them, and so do designers and models. Abbey Lee made her strongest season with her newly cut bangs, and danish model Freja Behas sports them like no one. Sienna and Savannah Miller made bangs in all their models for the Twenty8Twelve show in London, making this hairstyle a hot trend.

Ouuu what a great round up of inspiring summer hairstyles!!! Love it... will definitely be coming back to your page when I style my hair later today. I wish I could do those fun braids, but alas I am too uncoordinated. Anyways, great post girl - I'm glad we're both back into blogging. I also love your last post with all of the fall campaigns. Very fun :)
