A Geometry & Colour Affair

I promised myself that my next post would be on my birthday. So here I am. To celebrate here's a small review of one of my favourite collections of the season: Chloé S/S 12.
Spring/Summer 2012 was marked as the season of new beginings. Lots of new talents became creative directors at top fashion brands, and Chloé was no exception. This time was Clare Waight Keller who thanked at the end of the show as she was the new designer at this legendary french house. She is replacing Hannah MacGibbon, who designed for Chloé since 2008, and this was Waight's first collection for the brand. She had previously worked for quite a long time for Pringle of Scotland and, at first, it seemed like an odd choice. But the result was pure Chloé perfection. Colour combination, geometry and flowy dresses were the stars of the show. The collection turns out to be right in the middle between innovation and continuation of MacGibbon's previous work.
