New sensations
Fashion is all about changes. From trends to models, there is nothing that the fashion crowd loves more than new things. And so, designers, editors and fashionistas are constantly on the search of new style icons to get inspired from.
Hollywood has been a great source of style icons ever since the times of Audrey Hepburn, giving each generation its very own fashion icon. Nowadays it seems that the new Hollywood it girls have also become fashion's latest obsessions: Chloe, Elizabeth, Elle, Felicity and Rooney. Meet the new girls who not only are taking Hollywood by storm but also are conquering the fashion business.

GIRLY GIRL: It's hard to say that Chloe Moretz is 14 years old, why? because she has incredible taste for a girl who is on her early teen. Chloe's style is fresh, young and fun, but at the same time sophisticated and high fashion, not to mention that she has worn everything from Versace to Proenza.

THE NEW GIRL: MKA who? There's a new Olsen in town and just like her older sisters she has several fashion statements to make. Her style is flawless, unique and very elegant, and so not many can pull off her original outfits.
Left: Lizzie in probably one of my favourite looks EVER with a T by Alexander Wang blouse. Middle: Lizzie combines an Acne shirt with an Erdem printed skirt. Right: Lizzie wearing a Missoni for Target dress.
RISK TAKER: Elle may be often criticized for her looks, but the truth is that this 13-year-old (very talented) actress is still experimenting with her style, and I'm positive that she is on the right path to become the next fashion sensation.
Left: Elle in a Valentino long dress. Middle: Elle - who stared in the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 campaign - goes red in a Marc ensamble. Right: Elle in a Rodarte jumpsuit.
THE BRIT: Is she a model, is she an actress? I actually have no idea, but what caught my eye was Felicity's impecable and very british style. She definetely has that british attitude that compliments every outfit so well, specially when pulling off a Proenza Schouler look straight from the catwalk!
Left: Felicity in a Proenza Schouler look. Middle: Felicity in a classic black & white look with a twist: leather skirt and beautifully detailed blouse. Right: Felicity in a Valentino dress.
THE GRIL WITH THE BLACK DRESSES: every generation needs a daring girl who chooses Givenchy over Dolce & Gabbana, and Balenciaga over Versace. That girl is Rooney Mara, aka the actress from "The girl with the draggon tattoo". As she is travelling the world promoting her new movie, Rooney has proven that black is never boring and that you can be sexy by simply insinuating or showing the right parts.

Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony
It's not like this is the best Resort collection out there, but for some reason I love it! It has a total Marc by Marc Jacobs inspiration, and it's like Band of Outsiders with a twist, more ready to wear. I can totally see myself wearing every piece! But what I love most about it are the photography itself! Love the fact that it is different, as Stella McCartney's collection, and the set is not the typical resort set: black/white background and the model just standing there. The photos really sell the collection, and what can i say, I love Chloë!

"Girls buy the same silhouette over and over," reckons Chloë Sevigny. Her solution, for her third collection with Opening Ceremony? Give 'em only five, and a reason to buy a couple of each. For Resort, her five dress silhouettes come in five prints each—a leopard, a polka dot, a houndstooth, a paisley, and a floral, which also appear on matching Fogal tights, caps, and sweet little half-moon purses.style.com

Like a Painting
Prada Spring 2008
I'm a sucker for art history. Actually, I'm a sucker for art. I love every kind of artistic manifestation, from a painting to the most abstract thing, I tend to see art in almost everything. FASHION IS ART, despite what many may think. And I have realize that now more than ever designers are being inspired by paintings, mainly for prints. The result is simply as gorgeous as the painting it self.

Short, thick strokes of paint are used to quickly capture the essence of the subject, rather than its details. Colours are applied side-by-side with as little mixing as possible, creating a vibrant surface...
Flower prints are coming stronger than ever for this summer. I get a total Monet/Impressionism feeling from most of this designs.
